This nail art was kind of inspired by my friends who had a cake sale today to help fund their trip to South Africa in the summer, the cakes that they made were soo delicious :D
Anyway, to do these nails I used: Fearne Cotton's bright fuchsia and beige for the icing and the base of the cake and Fearne's bright red for the heart decoration. To do the lines on the cake I used a Rio Professional nail art pen.

Two Tone Nails!!
I got the idea for these nails from the blog, nailside. It's great for ideas and I love what she does, check it out! http://nailside.blogspot.co.uk/
To do these nails:
> Paint your nail in one solid colour and let it dry completely, I mean 100% dry!
> Then cut a short piece of Sellotape and place it over one half of your nail, if your first coat wasn't dry then the tape will make it really messy and the varnish will all come off onto the tape.
> Paint the uncovered area in another contrasting colour, don't worry if you go over the tape, that's what it's there for: it will protect your first coat.
> Peel off the tape and voila! This is the first time I tried this method so the lines were a bit messy and I used a black nail art brush to paint a line down the middle.
I hope you like :)

Magnetic Nail Varnish!!
This magnetic nail varnish from Barry M is super easy to use and I love the finished effect. You just paint on a coat and then hold the magnet over your nail and there are loads of different colours and effects from Barry M and I need to save up so that I can get them all!!!

Fruity Fimo!!
My friend also bought me some fimo canes for my birthday and I think they look really good once they're stuck on but they are quite tricky to cut thinly. It didn't help that I don't have a cutter!
To cut them I used a Stanley knife from my dads garage and then I stuck them on my nails when the varnish was still tacky.
I think these are really great and she ought me loads of different canes so with a bit of practice there might be some more designs in the future.

Spotty dots!!
Okay, so my friend bought me these dotting tools for my birthday and I was looking on the Internet like, hmmm, what shall I do? So I decided I'd just simply do a spotty dotty design to try them out and they are just soo easy to use and I'd recommend them to any budding nail artist. Hope you like :)
Strawbs and Watermelons!!
It's really sunny today and I love these strawberry and watermelon nails!!
For the watermelons and strawberry base colour I used Fearne Cotton nail polish and to add the details I used Rio "Original Professional Nail Art Pens".
